Crédit Agricole du Languedoc: Net Income Up 20.6% Over Nine Months, Reaching €197.2M
The accounts closed on October 23, 2026 by the Board of Directors of Crédit Agricole du Languedoc show revenues that have grown faster than costs over the first nine months of the year. Net banking income increased by 8.1%, compared to 3.4% for operating expenses. Consolidated net income attributable to the group thus reaches €197.2M, up 20.6%.
From a commercial standpoint, two key metrics are evolving at different rates: credit production advanced by 12.2% since the beginning of the year, while the overall credit portfolio increased by 0.5% over one year.
Net Banking Income Up 8.1%, Operating Expenses Up 3.4%
At September 30, 2026, published net banking income (NBI) stood at €560.3M, compared to €518.1M a year earlier, representing an increase of 8.1%. The Regional Cooperative attributes this growth primarily to the rise in the intermediation margin, that is, the difference between what the bank receives on its loans and what it pays to finance itself. Over the same period, operating expenses rose from €279.4M to €288.8M, an increase of 3.4%.
This difference in pace between revenues and costs is reflected in gross operating profit, which reaches €271.5M compared to €238.7M, an increase of 13.7%. The efficiency ratio, which relates expenses to NBI, stands at 51.5% at September 30, 2026. The cost of credit risk amounts to a net provision of €41.8M.
After taxes, the social net result amounts to €172.0M, up 11.6% compared to September 30, 2025. Consolidated net income attributable to the group reaches €197.2M, compared to €163.5M, representing a progression of 20.6%.
Distributed Credit Up 12.2%, Outstanding Credit Up 0.5%
On the activity side, the Regional Cooperative distributed €2.8 billion in credit since the beginning of the year, up 12.2% compared to the same period in 2025. This production remains notably driven by equipment credit to businesses. Credit outstanding advances more modestly: +0.5% over one year, at €27.1 billion, of which €15.2 billion in home loans (+1.1%).
The two indicators do not measure the same thing. The first reflects the pace of new loan distribution over nine months, the second the total level of ongoing loans at a given date.
The collection portfolio reaches €36.0 billion, up 1.8% over one year. According to the Regional Cooperative, this increase is supported by sight deposits, fixed-term deposits and life insurance, which offset the decline observed in home savings. The establishment indicates it has gained over 38,200 new customers since January and has 469,700 member-shareholders, 11,838 more than at the beginning of the year.
In insurance, net production reaches 10,700 new contracts since the beginning of the year, for a portfolio of over 756,400 contracts at the end of September. On the risk side, the doubtful debt ratio stands at 1.9% of credit outstanding, with a provisioning rate of 49.4%.
Solvency at 26.04% and Launch of "Languedoc 2030"
Consolidated equity attributable to the group reaches €6,313.7M, up 9.6% over one year, for a consolidated total balance sheet up 0.3%, at €36,123.2M. Shareholders' equity thus represents 17.5% of the balance sheet. The Basel 3 solvency ratio stood at 26.04% on June 30, 2026, more than double the regulatory minimum of 11.5%.
The Regional Cooperative has €6.1 billion in mobilizable reserves (ECB-eligible receivables, securities, UCITS), and its LCR and NSFR liquidity ratios meet the required minimum of 100%. Liabilities to credit institutions, essentially to Crédit Agricole SA under the group's internal refinancing rules, represent 41.3% of the balance sheet, compared to 35.8% for liabilities to customers. On the assets side, loans and receivables from customers account for 73.4% of the balance sheet.
The cooperative investment certificate (CCI) was trading at €78.00 on September 30, 2026, down 3.1% since the beginning of the year. A dividend of €2.69 was paid to holders on April 16, 2026.
The Regional Cooperative has also launched its business project "Languedoc 2030", which places development and growth at the heart of its ambitions. It also provides for a simplification of organizations, processes and tools. Over the first nine months of 2026, consolidated net income attributable to the group increased by 20.6%, to €197.2M.
