CVC DIF Completes Acquisition of Gabriela Solar Project in Chile from Grenergy
CVC DIF has completed the acquisition of the Gabriela project from Grenergy, a transaction that was conditional upon the commercial operation of the solar and storage facility located in northern Chile.

CVC DIF, the infrastructure division of manager CVC, has finalized the acquisition of the Gabriela project, a hybrid solar photovoltaic and battery storage facility located in northern Chile, from Grenergy, a Spanish clean energy producer.
The transaction, first announced in September 2025, was structured to close once the project reached its Commercial Operation Date. With the installation having achieved this milestone, Gabriela joins CVC DIF's global portfolio.

The finalized project comprises 272 MW of installed solar capacity and 1,100 MWh of battery storage. It is backed by a hybrid power purchase agreement (PPA) signed for 15 years, denominated in dollars and indexed to inflation.
The asset also benefits from Chile's favorable regulatory framework for storage investments. According to Caine Bouwmeester, partner and head of renewable energy at CVC DIF, the completion of Gabriela "marks an important milestone for CVC DIF in Chile".
