Dassault Systèmes lagging the CAC 40 at equilibrium, weekly decline of 10.7%
The Dassault Systèmes stock loses 1.95% to €20.61 during the session, while the CAC 40 gains 0.11% and the SBF 120 advances 0.08%. This is the third time in the span of a few days that the stock occupies the last place in the Paris index: on Friday, September 4, the stock had already dropped 3.5%, then 2.5% on September 1. Over seven days, the decline reaches 10.74%, a performance that contrasts with the limited 1.6% drop of Capgemini, the second largest decline of the day in the CAC 40. Over one month, the stock still loses 5.15%, although the three-month balance remains positive at +4.54% thanks to the summer rebound.
Price caught between the MA20 and long-term averages, RSI remains neutral
The technical configuration reflects recent pressure. The price at €20.61 is trading significantly below the MA20 at €22.18 (a gap of -7.08%), which materializes the extent of the decline in recent weeks. Conversely, the stock remains slightly above the MA50 at €20.24 and the MA200 at €20.34, two thresholds that the price has not yet broken through despite the series of negative sessions. The RSI at 56, in neutral territory, signals neither oversold conditions nor pronounced selling exhaustion, while the MACD displays a slightly negative histogram (-0.109), reflecting a bearish dynamic that is taking shape in the short term.
