DEME Secures Contract for 21 Turbines of 15 MW in Japan
Through its Japanese joint venture Japan Offshore Marine (JOM), DEME has secured a contract for the Oga-Katagami-Akita offshore wind project. The agreement includes engineering works and the chartering of vessels for the offshore installation of 21 turbines.

JOM will proceed with the installation of 21 Vestas V236-15 MW turbines. This marks the first deployment of 15-megawatt turbines in Japan and the first use of this unit capacity outside Europe, excluding China. The contract connects JOM with Oga Katagami Akita Offshore Green Energy LLC and Penta-Ocean Construction Co., Ltd.
