Econocom returns to growth in third quarter (+5%), sales decline by 1% over nine months
Econocom published on October 20, 2026 third-quarter revenue up 5%, of which 3.4% on an organic basis. This figure follows a first half marked by an organic decline of 5.3%, according to the half-yearly publication of July 23, 2026.
This growth is not yet sufficient to reverse the cumulative trend. At end September, sales stood at 2,097 million euros, down 1.0% year-on-year. The group nevertheless maintained its target of annual growth of 2% to 3%, making the last quarter the decisive step of the fiscal year.
Nine months down 1.0%, third quarter up 5%
Over the first nine months of 2026, Econocom recorded revenue of 2,097 million euros, down 1.0% compared to the same period in 2025. On an organic basis, the decline reached 2.6%. The data are adjusted for discontinued business activities.
The third quarter alone presents a different picture: sales advanced 5% year-on-year, of which 3.4% on an organic basis. Total quarterly growth thus exceeds organic growth.
When publishing half-yearly results on July 23, 2026, the group had reported an organic decline in revenue of 5.3% over the first six months. The shift from an organic decline in the first half to organic growth in the third quarter translates, on a cumulative basis at end September, into an organic decline reduced to 2.6%.
Recovery attributed to measures against supply chain tensions
Econocom indicated that coordinated responses implemented since the beginning of fiscal year 2026 are benefiting its activities "at a differentiated pace". These measures were aimed at limiting the effects of geopolitical uncertainty and supply chain tensions. The group presents this gradual return to growth as a confirmation of its strategy, in a technology market it describes as "under pressure".
Angel Benguigui, Chief Executive Officer of the group, stated: "This testifies to the group's resilience, driven by the diversity of its activities, geographies and customer base." He also indicated that the group is accelerating the deployment of its higher value-added offerings, particularly in the Econocom Infrastructure Solutions field. This direction is part of the One Econocom transformation plan, which continues to be implemented.
When publishing half-yearly results on July 23, 2026, the group anticipated a catch-up in the second half, particularly in its technology rental financing activity (TMF). Present in 16 countries with approximately 8,680 employees, Econocom distributes, finances and offers managed services for the work environment, audiovisual and infrastructure.
Annual growth of 2% to 3% maintained
Econocom confirmed its outlook for fiscal year 2026, with annual revenue growth of between 2% and 3%. This target had already been confirmed when publishing half-yearly results on July 23, 2026. For reference, the group achieved revenue of 2.9 billion euros in 2025.
With a cumulative decline of 1.0% at end September, achieving this range relies on a final quarter more dynamic than the entire first nine months. The group will publish its full-year 2026 results on February 11, 2027, after the close of trading.
At end September, cumulative revenue amounted to 2,097 million euros, following a third quarter up 5%.
