Eiffage Metal signs a 12-year partnership with Arabelle Solutions (EDF)
Eiffage Metal and Arabelle Solutions (a subsidiary of EDF) signed a multi-year partnership agreement on Thursday for the manufacturing of modules and metal frames for condensers intended for future heat exchangers in nuclear projects in France and Europe. This agreement highlights Eiffage Metal's historic positioning in the nuclear sector.
A 12-year partnership covering several major nuclear projects
Eiffage Metal and Arabelle Solutions have concluded a 12-year partnership agreement for the manufacturing of modules and metal frames intended for the condensers of future heat exchangers in several nuclear projects across France and Europe. Arabelle Solutions acts as the integrator of turbine islands for several nuclear power plants, including the Sizewell C project in the United Kingdom, the new generation EPR2 reactors in France, as well as for international projects. All equipment will be produced in France, at Eiffage Metal's factory located in Lauterbourg.
An investment of 15 million euros and the creation of 60 jobs
To meet the new production capacity needs, Eiffage Metal will invest 15 million euros at the Lauterbourg site. This investment will be accompanied by the creation of 60 full-time jobs over the duration of the partnership. This partnership consolidates Eiffage Metal's position as a historic supplier and leader in the nuclear sector. The group leverages its expertise in this type of equipment and its experience in condenser retubing operations carried out during the decennial inspections of operational nuclear sites.
An agreement aligned with Arabelle Solutions' growth strategy
This collaboration is a continuation of Arabelle Solutions' strategy to increase production capacities and internalize critical skills. It complements the recent investment announced in the creation of a new heat exchanger factory in Chalon-sur-Saône. Boris Azimi, CEO of Eiffage Metal, states that 'signing this agreement is a key step in strengthening the industrial partnership between Arabelle Solutions and Eiffage Metal, following a recent successful collaboration on the Hinkley Point C project in the United Kingdom.' Catherine Cornand, President of Arabelle Solutions, adds that 'this long-term industrial partnership supports our ambition to serve our clients in a context of strong demand for growth' and 'helps to strengthen a supply chain that favors sovereignty with French companies like Eiffage Metal.'
