Eiffage Secures Contract Exceeding 120M€ from Campus IA
On Tuesday, Campus AI announced the selection of Eiffage as the general contractor for the construction of a high-voltage electrical substation and shared infrastructures on its Fouju campus. The contract, valued at over 120M€, marks the operational phase commencement of the project.
A 1.4 GW Electrical Substation Entrusted to a French Group
Eiffage Énergie Systèmes, leading a consortium, will handle the design, engineering, supply, construction, and commissioning of a 400/33 kV electrical substation with a final capacity of 1.4 GW. Eiffage Génie Civil will construct the associated buildings and engineering structures, while Eiffage Route will take care of the roadworks, networks, and landscaping. This task distribution leverages the synergies among Eiffage's business sectors and its expertise in high-voltage electrical equipment, civil engineering, and infrastructure.
Complete Integration of the Execution Chain
According to Campus AI, using a major French industrial group allows for complete integration of the execution chain and shortened schedules. Campus AI and Eiffage share the ambition to anchor this project within the local economic fabric. Eiffage will mobilize its teams in the Île-de-France region and will prioritize the recruitment of regional subcontractors and SMEs.
Innovative Low-Carbon Insulation for This Type of Equipment
The shielded electrical substation will be insulated using a gas with a low global warming potential, an innovation considered a first for this type of equipment and voltage class. This voluntary initiative by Campus AI, supported by Eiffage Énergie Systèmes, is part of an environmental improvement strategy.
