Elior Group share breaks below its €1.75 support level following BNP Paribas Exane downgrade
The collective catering group is posting one of the worst sessions on the Paris stock exchange in a declining market. A downgrade from a major investment bank was announced at the opening of trading.
A decline that pushes the stock below its €1.75 support level
Elior Group shares fell 6.66% to €1.74 during the session, while the CAC 40 declined 1.36%. The stock is the second-worst performer on its broad index, with last place within reach. This decline causes it to break below its €1.75 support, when the price was still above this level at the last close.
It is also trading below its three moving averages: 3.39% below the 20-day MA (€1.80), 24.72% below the 200-day MA (€2.31). Over three months, the loss reaches 13.91%, and 39.03% over one year.

BNP Paribas Exane downgraded Elior today from outperform to neutral, and lowered its price target from €3.50 to €2.00. This new target remains 15% above the current price. The analysts' consensus on the stock should be consulted to put this revision in perspective.
This comes following the publication of first-half 2026 results on May 20: the group had then lowered its organic growth objective to 1-2%, from 3-4% previously, and its adjusted EBITA margin to around 3%, from 3.5-3.7%. The next technical level to monitor is the 20-day MA at €1.80, which the stock has broken through.
