Elis Share: 7.5% Loss Over One Year, Stock Advances Nearly 2% Following UBS
The specialist in linen and work clothing rental and maintenance services continues its rebound during the session, in a Parisian market slightly oriented upwards. The security is emerging from a prolonged decline and has just benefited from a target price increase from a major Swiss bank.
A UBS Upgrade That Places the Target Above Current Price
UBS raised its price target on Elis on October 14, from €29.40 to €32.00, while maintaining its buy rating. Against a price of €22.58, the new target leaves an upside potential of approximately 42%. The stock gains 1.9% during the session, and the gain reaches 7% over one week, while the decline remains 10.3% over three months.
This opinion comes after the publication of first-half 2026 results on July 29. The group had indicated it was targeting organic revenue growth slightly lower than that of 2025.
Above the 20-Day Moving Average, Still Below Longer-Term Averages
The rebound has brought the price 4.15% above its 20-day moving average (€21.68). It remains, however, below the 50-day MA (€23.02), at a 1.91% gap, and below the 200-day MA (€25.20), at a 10.40% gap. The RSI at 51 is neutral: the recent increase has thus erased selling pressure without pushing the security into overbought territory.
The first hurdle to clear is the 50-day MA, just above the current price, before resistance at €23.42. On the securities lending market, the cumulative net short position recorded falls to 1.24% of capital, distributed among two funds, against 3.39% thirty days earlier. This pullback of 2.15 points signals a clear unwinding of bearish bets, without allowing us to draw conclusions about the intentions of the funds involved.
