Eurazeo Share: Down 24% Over Twelve Months, Asset Manager Rebounds 2%
The Parisian asset management company is recovering in early afternoon trading, in a slightly rising Paris market. The share has just returned to a moving average it had been attempting to reclaim for several sessions, as the group continues its share buyback program.
A rebound that brings the share back to its 20-day moving average
Eurazeo shares gain 2.18% to €45.94, compared to €44.96 the previous day, while the CAC 40 rises 0.23% and the SBF 120 rises 0.32%. The price is now in contact with its MA20 (€45.88, +0.13% difference), a threshold the share had lost during the decline sessions in late September. It nevertheless remains below the MA50 (€48.32, -4.93% difference) and the MA200 (€46.46, -1.12% difference), so today's rebound is insufficient to reverse the trend of recent months.
Over the week, the gain is 1.86%, while the share has lost another 0.73% over one month. The RSI at 37.63 remains in the lower zone, showing no oversold signal, and the MACD is still negative (-0.8155), although its histogram is turning positive (0.1074). The support at €44.52, briefly recrossed during early October trading before being regained, remains the reference floor, while resistance is found at €49.54.
A €200 million buyback program executed at approximately 16% and a semester still in negative territory
Eurazeo launched a €200 million share buyback program on June 22, 2026. As of October 9, €32 million had been repurchased, representing approximately 16% of the envelope. Over twelve months, the group repurchased €196 million in shares, or 6.2% of its market capitalization, which reduces the number of shares in circulation. The first half 2026 financial statements, published on August 3, show third-party collections of €2.3 billion (compared to €2.1 billion a year earlier) and asset management EBITDA up 20%.
However, the Group's net profit remains negative, at -€6 million, and the portfolio value creation on the balance sheet is only 0.3%. The group also signed an agreement in early October to take a majority stake in Miya Water, a specialist in combating water loss. With a MA200 at €46.46, the share must first exceed its MA50 at €48.32 before recovering all its moving averages.
