Eutelsat share breaks below its 1.74 € support and falls 30% in three months
The satellite operator based in Issy-les-Moulineaux is accumulating difficult trading sessions, against a backdrop of pressure in the European market this Thursday. The stock has broken through its technical support during the session, extending a downward trend that has now been stretching for several months.
The 1.74 € support breached during the session, in an SBF 120 also in decline
Eutelsat Communications falls 3.53% to 1.71 € mid-morning, ranking among the sharpest declines in the SBF 120, which itself retreats by 0.81% during the session. The day's notable development: the stock has broken through its 1.74 € support, falling below this threshold that had already been threatened in September. This downward breach extends a decline of nearly 30% over three months, which had already pushed the price below all three moving averages — the 20-day MA at 1.82 €, the 50-day MA at 1.97 € and the 200-day MA at 2.32 € are all above the current price, forming a weighty technical ceiling.
The RSI at 39 remains in moderately bearish territory, without reaching outright oversold conditions: it does not yet signal seller exhaustion. The next significant resistance level is identified at 2.22 €, more than 30% above the current price, a gap that reflects the extent of the deterioration in the chart configuration. Over the week, the stock is down nearly 6%, a performance that follows in the wake of a particularly trying month, with a monthly decline of nearly 10%.
An agreement with MEO published today, in line with recent commercial partnerships
An agreement with MEO published yesterday, in line with recent commercial partnerships. The arrangement aims to combine satellite, fiber optics and 5G in service of Portuguese enterprises, administrations and critical infrastructure operators. This announcement, whose press release was issued on September 23, 2026, adds to a series of commercial partnerships deployed in recent weeks: a rail connectivity trial in Poland announced on September 22, agreements with StarTV in Latin America and with A1 Group in Central Europe, as well as confirmation of Eutelsat's role as lead contractor for the LEO segment of the European IRIS² program, with 330 satellites.
These successive announcements illustrate the strategy of scaling up low-Earth orbit connectivity, without having so far reversed the stock market trend. The breach of the 1.74 € support today will be closely monitored, with the next identified resistance zone remaining at 2.22 €.
