Exosens to Double Its Production of Cooled Infrared Cameras by 2026
Exosens announced on Wednesday that it will double its production capacity of cooled infrared cameras during the year 2026. This increase is in response to the accelerated global demand for imaging solutions intended for long-range anti-drone systems and surveillance.
The high-tech group plans to double its production of cooled infrared cameras to meet the accelerating demand in surveillance applications and long-range anti-drone operations. Cooled infrared technology enables the detection of drone threats from distances of several tens of kilometers, both day and night.
Manufactured in France, Exosens' high-performance cooled infrared imaging solutions are integrated into a wide range of platforms (gimbals, turrets, surveillance payloads, protection systems) mounted on drones, robots, and vehicles. They are adopted by numerous players, ranging from major defense groups to leading equipment manufacturers and developers of autonomous systems.

This significant increase in production capacity marks a new stage in Exosens' development and demonstrates its ability to anticipate the rapid evolution of market needs. Exosens highlights the strategic importance of its cooled infrared technologies for critical defense and homeland security missions, particularly in long-range surveillance and anti-drone applications in aerial, terrestrial, and maritime domains.
Jérôme Cerisier, CEO of Exosens, stated that this expansion strengthens the group's commitment to supporting its clients with critical high-performance imaging solutions, consolidating its position as a reliable and non-ITAR strategic partner within defense and homeland security ecosystems. The announcement follows a record order of ultra-compact thermal cameras intended for next-generation interceptor drones.
