Forvia share rebounds above €8.60 after testing its support level
The automotive supplier posts a notable gain during the session, emerging from an intraday low to display one of the best performances on the SBF 120, while the broader Paris index itself loses ground. This rebound comes after a particularly difficult week for the stock, which had lost more than 5% over seven days, amid a context of analyst target price revisions.
An intraday rebound that erases the breach of the €8.60 support level
The Forvia share gains 1.83% to €8.78 during the session, in an SBF 120 that declines 0.57%. The stock initially broke below its €8.60 support, touching an intraday low of €8.57 in the morning, before recovering and clearly moving back above this threshold. This turnaround gives the support renewed validity: it had already held on multiple occasions since early September, with each breach resulting in a rebound.
The RSI at 40 remains in the lower zone without being in genuine oversold territory, which leaves technical room for the continuation of the upward movement without an immediate exhaustion signal. The stock nonetheless remains below its 20-day (€9.29) and 50-day (€9.13) moving averages, two zones that constitute obstacles for sustained recovery. The gap to the 200-day MA (€10.78) illustrates the extent of ground to be covered to erase the annual decline of nearly 24%.

According to the declarations reviewed, four funds have a combined 3.95% of capital in net short positions, a level nearly stable over one month (-0.01 point). This volume of shorts, even if stable, indicates that a significant portion of institutional investors remains positioned against the stock, which can amplify mechanical rebounds when these positions are partially covered. The week was marked by target price revisions by Jefferies, which maintained a positive view on the stock while lowering its target, weighing on weekly performance at -5.35%.
Over three months, however, the balance remains slightly positive at +3.12%, which signals that the stock is attempting to stabilize after a prolonged decline. The €9.93 resistance level remains the technical horizon to watch to validate a trend reversal.
