GTT stock hits historic record at €217.40 and climbs into the SBF 120
GTT touches a new all-time high during trading this Friday, surpassing its previous historic record, in a Paris market nearly balanced. The stock ranks among the strongest gains in the SBF 120, driven by a rating upgrade from Berenberg published this very morning.
Berenberg upgrades GTT to buy with a €245 target: the stock ranks among the strongest gains in the SBF 120
German bank Berenberg upgraded its rating on GTT on Friday from "hold" to "buy", simultaneously raising its price target from €190 to €245. This upgrade implies an upside potential of approximately 14% compared to the current price of €214.40. The market's reaction is immediate: GTT gains 3.08% during trading, ranking among the strongest gains in the SBF 120 in an index that declines marginally by 0.15%.
The stock touched €217.40 during trading, erasing the previous historic record at €216.20. This new all-time high occurs as the stock already posts a gain of nearly 37% over twelve months, reflecting a solid bullish momentum. The visit by minister Jean-Noël Barrot to the Saint-Rémy-lès-Chevreuse site in early September, during which GTT highlighted its membrane containment technologies, had already brought the group back into the spotlight a few days earlier.
A stock at record levels, well above its three moving averages, with RSI in bullish territory
GTT's technical configuration reflects the vigor of the ongoing movement. The current price at €214.40 is well above the 20-day MA at €205.17 (gap of +4.50%) and the 50-day MA at €195.96 (gap of +9.41%), two reference points that the stock has gradually distanced since July. The 200-day MA at €189.70 is now more than 13% below the price, reflecting a well-established underlying trend. The RSI at 62 reflects bullish momentum without a clear overbought signal, technically leaving room before reaching the 70 zone.
The next reference to watch is the psychological level of €220, a forward reference above which no previous technical resistance exists, as the stock is now trading in virgin territory. On the fundamentals side, the strong recovery in liquefied natural gas carrier orders since the fourth quarter of 2025, with 14 additional orders recorded in early 2026 according to annual results published on February 19, 2026, continues to support the group's prospects. The €220 level constitutes the next natural reference point to gauge the continuation or exhaustion of this movement.
