Housing: Hexaom calls for the reinstatement of single-family homes in the MaPrimeRénov' scheme
In an institutional communication, Hexaom highlights the single-family home as a lever for rapidly producing housing adapted to different household profiles. The Alençon-based group is also calling on public authorities to integrate these solutions into housing support schemes.
The single-family home presented as a rapid response to housing needs
Hexaom, presented as a builder and renovator of homes in France, puts forward several solutions linked to single-family homes to create living space: new construction, extension, attic conversion, garage conversion, garden studio or land subdivision.
The group highlights construction timelines of less than 18 months for single-family homes, compared to 2 to 4 years for collective housing, and notes that the prefabricated timber frame construction method in its Pobi factory (58) reduces this timeline by 3 to 4 months.
Hexaom cites homes starting from 50 m² for single-parent families, as well as single-storey homes compliant with PMR standards designed for seniors. According to the press release, the average selling price of an Hexaom home stands at 189,000 € including tax in 2026, excluding land, fees and connections, described as stable.
A call to public authorities on the Jeanbrun scheme and the zero-interest loan
The group believes that the solutions offered by single-family homes deserve to be given greater consideration in public housing policies, with reference to the government's objective of producing 2 million homes by 2030.
Hexaom specifically targets the Jeanbrun scheme, which came into force in February 2026, which excludes single-family homes from its scope of application, and calls for their reinstatement. According to Loïc Vandromme, Chief Executive Officer, excluding single-family homes from this scheme amounts to depriving oneself of a lever in the fight against the housing crisis.
The executive also advocates for the maintenance and strengthening of the zero-interest loan beyond 2027 in order to support homeownership, particularly for first-time buyers.
