ID Logistics and Castorama Extend Their Partnership Until End of 2028
The specialist in contract logistics and the home improvement retailer have renewed a collaboration initiated in 2006. The extension pushes their partnership deadline to the end of 2028.
It is accompanied by an expanded scope of activities, from last-mile delivery to the supply of an online store.
A Partnership Renewed After Twenty Years of Collaboration
ID Logistics and Castorama announced, in September 2026, the extension of their partnership until the end of 2028. The collaboration, initiated in 2006, concerns the management of logistics operations intended to supply Castorama stores in France.
The logistics network currently relies on three regional platforms that supply more than 90 stores. ID Logistics is an international contract logistics group headed by Éric Hémar, with headquarters established in Orgon (13).
Extended Services: Last-Mile Delivery, Cycle Logistics and E-Commerce
Over the years, Castorama has expanded the scope of activities entrusted to ID Logistics. Since 2018, the service provider has ensured last-mile delivery services to the retailer's customers, with nearly 300 deliveries per day.
The collaboration more recently integrated cycle logistics deliveries from three Paris stores. It has also expanded to the launch of the Castorama store on Amazon, also supplied by ID Logistics.
Automation and Reduction of Carbon Footprint
The sites are equipped with an autonomous inventory robot, automatic guided vehicles (AGVs), telescopic conveyors for container unloading and an optimized warehouse management system (WMS). The two partners are also working on optimizing transport flows, notably the truck fill rate, reducing empty runs and consolidating flows.
Castorama, certified FRET21, has reduced its carbon emissions by nearly 18% over three years.
