Imerys share breaks through 21.92 € threshold and declines 2%
The industrial minerals specialist is posting a sharp decline in today's session, in a Paris market oriented downwards. The movement takes it further away from its main medium-term technical reference points.
A 21.92 € support broken in session, below all moving averages
The security is trading at 21.72 €, down 2.16% compared to the previous close, after breaking through its 21.92 € support in today's session. It remains below this level, its MA20 (gap of 2.82%) and its MA200 (gap of 5.69%). The decline extends a gloomy series for the security: the dark month already noted in early October was only partially erased by the rebounds in the following days, and the loss remains at 3.21% over one month.
With an RSI at 43, the indicator does not yet show oversold conditions. Imerys is among the biggest decliners on the SBF 120, where the index is down 0.72% at the same time, in a session marked by tension over French debt.
A struggling construction sector and 2026 guidance already published in July
The construction environment, the sector on which the group's activity depends, remains degraded: the business climate in construction is at -17.2 in France, and residential building permits are declining by 9.5% year-on-year. When publishing the first half 2026 results on July 30, Imerys had set an EBITDA target of 565 million euros, a reference point that the market has not yet translated into a share price rebound. The security is trading 6.38% below its MA50 (23.20 €) and is targeting in the short term the resistance level of 24.56 €, which is more than 13% above the current price.
