Interparfums returns to growth in third quarter (+4.8%) and targets upper end of guidance
Interparfums published revenue of €265.5 million for the third quarter on October 21, 2026, up 4.8% at current exchange rates. This return to growth leads the group to now target the upper end of its annual sales guidance of approximately €870 million.
This quarter marks a turning point compared to the beginning of the fiscal year. During its publication on September 9, 2026, the group had reported a contraction in its business in the first half.
Over nine months, sales remain down 2.9%, at €679.8 million. Disparities between geographical zones remain marked: Asia is up 32% in the quarter, while Eastern Europe is down 31%.
Quarterly sales of €265.5 million, above consensus
In the third quarter of 2026, revenue reached €265.5 million, compared with €253.5 million a year earlier. Growth stands at 4.8% at current exchange rates and 4.6% at constant exchange rates. The sole analyst tracked in the consensus before publication expected €257 million for this quarter.
The cumulative reading presents a different picture. Over the first nine months, consolidated sales stood at €679.8 million, compared with €700.4 million over the same period in 2025, a decline of 2.9% at current rates and 0.7% at constant rates.
The gap between these two measures reflects the effect of the euro/dollar parity, described as unfavorable by the group: 1.16 on average over nine months in 2026, compared with 1.12 a year earlier.
Quarter growth is driven by the main brands. Coach advanced 25% to €65.7 million and Montblanc 13% to €61.9 million, while Jimmy Choo remained flat at €74.1 million. Over nine months, Jimmy Choo totaled €179 million (+1%), with a 6% increase in the United States, its main market, and Coach €175.3 million (+10%).
North America and Asia up, Eastern Europe down
North America, the group's leading market, achieved €115.5 million in the third quarter (+8%) and €276.1 million over nine months (+2%). In local currency, sales of the U.S. subsidiary Interparfums Luxury Brands advanced 9% over nine months, an increase partly absorbed by the exchange rate effect.
Asia advanced 32% in the quarter, to €35.3 million, and 8% over nine months, with a contribution from China cited by the group. South America showed +14% in the quarter and +7% over nine months. Western Europe advanced 7% in the quarter (notably in Germany, the United Kingdom and Spain), but remains down 9% over nine months.
Conversely, Eastern Europe declined 31% in the quarter, to €15.1 million, and 24% over nine months, due to operational difficulties affecting mainly Lanvin and Lacoste. The Middle East fell 32% over both periods, a trend that the group links to regional conflicts.
On the brands side, Lacoste advanced 5% in the quarter after a first half in retreat (−12% over nine months). Rochas remained flat in the quarter. Lanvin declined 19%, with the group reporting supply issues on certain components, and other brands 31%.
Guidance of approximately €870 million, caution expressed on fourth quarter
According to Philippe Benacin, Chief Executive Officer, the momentum recovered during the summer enables targeting the upper end of 2026 sales guidance of approximately €870 million. During the publication of its 2025 annual report on April 7, 2026, the group had indicated revenue guidance of €860 million, for 2025 sales of €899.4 million.
The executive nevertheless indicated remaining cautious for the fourth quarter, due to the international context in the Middle East and Eastern Europe. He also recalled the seasonality of the American market, concentrated in the months of November and December.
Philippe Benacin also noted a favorable reception from partners to launches planned for 2027. 2027 perspectives will be presented on November 19, 2026, before the opening of the Paris Stock Exchange, and 2026 annual revenue will be published on January 27, 2027.
With €679.8 million achieved over nine months, the guidance of approximately €870 million implies a fourth quarter of approximately €190 million in sales.
