Interparfums stock gains 2% and breaks through resistance following results publication
In a SBF 120 sharply declining this Wednesday, Interparfums stands out as an exception and ranks among the best performers in the broader index. The Parisian perfumer benefits from a favorable opinion from CIC Market Solutions and a resistance breakout during the session, following the publication this morning of its first half 2026 results.
Resistance broken through and top ranking in a declining market
The stock gains 2.07% to €28.58 during the session, ranking among the strongest rises in the SBF 120 while the index falls 1.75% at the same time. The performance stands out even more as the CAC 40 declines 1.81%, in a market environment marked by rising long-term rates in the eurozone and geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. The half-year results published this morning show revenues of €414.3 million, down 7.3% year-over-year, but with a gross margin rate up to 67.3% of sales and an annual target maintained between €850 million and €870 million. This mixture of declining revenues and preserved margins appears to have been well received. From a sector classification perspective, the dynamics of cosmetics consumption in China provides a favorable context: cosmetics sales there increased 6.8% year-over-year in July 2026, in a sector where Interparfums has significant exposure.
CIC Market Solutions initiates a buy rating, stock trading above its three moving averages
CIC Market Solutions published a buy rating on the stock this Wednesday, with a price target set at €28.00. This level is slightly below the current price of €28.58, highlighting that the stock has already incorporated part of the revaluation expected by the research firm. The technical setup remains constructive: the price is trading above its 20-day moving average at €26.72 (gap of nearly 7%), its 50-day moving average at €25.95 (more than 10% gap) and its 200-day moving average at €24.81 (more than 15% above). The stock also broke through its resistance at €28.58 upwards during the session and is holding at that level.
The RSI at 67 indicates sustained upward momentum, without reaching overbought territory. Monthly progress reaches 15.15%, a sign that the rally underway for several weeks is maintaining its strength. The next reference level to watch is the €30.20 resistance.
