JCDecaux Shares Drop Nearly 3%, Becoming the SBF 120's Bottom Performer
After recently reaching a multi-year high, the French outdoor advertising specialist is experiencing a significant pullback during the Euronext Paris session. The stock falls to the bottom of the broader index, going against the grain of a generally rising Paris market.
A Significant Decline Places JCDecaux as the SBF 120's Bottom Performer
JCDecaux shares drop 2.8% to €21.56, down from €22.18 the previous day, while the SBF 120 gains 0.28% and the CAC 40 increases by 0.31%. The stock is the worst performer in the SBF 120 session, ahead of Atos Group (-2.25%) and Abivax (-2.20%). This movement contrasts with the recent dynamics: the stock still shows a gain of 9.78% over a month and 42.22% over a year, after reaching a three-year high in mid-July. The decline follows the announcement of the expansion of its programmatic advertising offering to nine Latin American countries, a move that failed to support the price in an otherwise upbeat Paris market.
A Logical Profit-Taking After an RSI of 72 in the Overbought Zone
Today's drop occurs in a tense technical setup. The RSI was at 72, indicating an overbought condition following the recent surge. The price remains well above its three moving averages, with a gap of 5.89% from the MM20 at €20.36, 11.13% from the MM50 at €19.40, and 23.98% from the MM200 at €17.39. The MM20 serves as the first natural cushion in case the movement extends, while the resistance level identified at €22.28, which was broken and then retested in recent days, becomes a short-term ceiling.
