Legrand stock climbs and reaches 2nd place in the CAC 40
Legrand posts one of the best performances on the Paris stock exchange this Monday, in a CAC 40 that is virtually at a standstill. The Limoges-based group specializing in electrical and digital infrastructures is benefiting from a reiterated buy recommendation issued today by CIC Market Solutions, with an unchanged price target of 170 €, representing an upside potential of nearly 19% compared to the current price.
A second-place ranking in the CAC 40 driven by an analyst recommendation issued today
The Legrand share gains 1.77% to 143.40 € during the session, in an almost stable Paris market (CAC 40: +0.05%). This movement places the stock in second place in the CAC 40, among the strongest gainers in the index. CIC Market Solutions maintained its buy recommendation on Legrand on Monday, with an unchanged price target of 170 €.
At this level, the displayed upside potential exceeds 18% compared to today's price. This confirmation follows a bullish movement that began late last week: Legrand topped the CAC 40 on Friday, driven by Deutsche Bank's rating upgrade. Over the past week, the stock shows a gain of 2.69%, and 3.13% over one month.
A stock trading above its three moving averages, RSI remains in neutral territory
Legrand's technical momentum confirms the strength of the recent rebound. The stock trades above its three reference moving averages: the MA20 at 137.63 €, the MA50 at 138.28 € and the MA200 at 139.22 €, with respective gaps of +4.19%, +3.70% and +3.00%. This configuration, where the price advances above the three trend reference points, signals positive momentum across different timeframes.
The RSI at 44 remains neutral, far from any overbought zone, which leaves technical room for the current movement. The resistance threshold identified at 160.10 € represents the next area of interest beyond the current price, while support stands at 128.70 €. On fundamentals, the group published its Q1 2026 results on May 7, 2026, showing a revenue increase of 11.4%, in a context where the building sector outlook in France remains deteriorated (climate index at -18.2 in August according to Eurostat ECFIN), which tempers visibility on domestic demand for electrical equipment.
