NFL Biosciences: An NFL-101 Biomarker Presented at the Tobacco Congress

A Predictive Biomarker Derived from Post-hoc Analysis of CESTO2
The selected communication, titled "Baseline IgG1 Levels as a Candidate Predictive Biomarker of NFL-101 Efficacy in Smoking Cessation: A Post-hoc Analysis of the CESTO2 Phase II Randomized Controlled Trial", focuses on baseline specific IgG1 levels as a candidate predictive biomarker associated with NFL-101 efficacy.
This approach aims to better identify smokers likely to respond to treatment and to clarify the definition of the target population for NFL-101 in the context of its clinical development. The authors are Yannick Plétan, Jean-Marie Grouin, Bruno Lafont, Eric Tartour and Scott Lukas.
Two Successive Presentations in Paris and Then in Rennes
This work has been selected twice: as a poster at the SRNT-Europe 2026 conference, which will be held in Paris from September 21 to 23, 2026, and then for an oral presentation at the 20th Congress of the SFT, scheduled for September 24-25, 2026 at the Jacobins Convent, the congress center of Rennes Métropole.
The congress, held under the theme "Tobacco: Everyone on Board!", brings together physicians, tobacco specialists, nurses, pharmacists, psychologists and researchers. Bruno Lafont, chief executive officer and co-founder of NFL Biosciences, stated that the identification of a candidate predictive biomarker could make it possible to better target smokers likely to respond to treatment and represents an important focus for the continuation of clinical development.
