Omer-Decugis renews its three-year partnership with Andès at Rungis
The family-owned fresh fruit and vegetable group, listed on the Rungis market, extends its collaboration with the national network of solidarity grocery stores. This agreement covers both food donation and professional integration in the Rungis area.
A partnership renewed for three years around the Potager de Marianne
The Omer-Decugis Group and Andès, the National Association of Solidarity Grocery Stores, have renewed their partnership for a period of three years, according to a press release published on September 8, 2026 from Rungis.
This agreement makes it possible to support the Potager de Marianne, a supply platform for food assistance, managed as an insertion workshop by Andès and located in Rungis. The partnership between the two structures has existed since 2017.
370 tonnes of fruit donated in 2025
In 2025, the Omer-Decugis Group distributed more than 700 tonnes of fruit to various food assistance organizations. The Potager de Marianne insertion workshop received nearly 370 tonnes of fruit, including 240 tonnes of bananas.
Bananas, mangoes and pineapples supply solidarity grocery stores throughout the year, at a cost representing 10% to 30% of the market value of the products. Serge De Backer, CSR Director of the Group, indicates that these donations constitute a solidarity lever conducted with Andès since 2017.
Professional integration of people far from employment
Beyond food solidarity, the partnership is based on the professional integration of people far from employment: long-term job seekers, poorly qualified young people, people with disabilities or refugees.
The Group's subsidiaries welcome trainees each year referred by the Potager de Marianne, with possible opportunities in fixed-term or permanent contracts. Since 2017, the Group has welcomed 24 trainees, of which 46% joined the teams in fixed-term or permanent contracts in positions as order preparers or warehouse workers.
