Recent Commercial Progress
In the first quarter of 2026, Onward Medical delivered 70 ARC-EX systems for both clinical and home use. The company reports that this external spinal cord stimulation platform was available in over 100 clinics in the US and Europe by the end of the quarter. The first home deliveries were also made, notably to individuals within the Veterans Affairs community in the US.
ARC-EX Generates €1.3M in Revenue in the First Quarter
ARC-EX is touted by Onward Medical as the first FDA-approved technology in the US to enhance hand strength and sensation following a spinal cord injury. Revenue from ARC-EX sales reached €1.3M in the first quarter, out of a total revenue of €2.0M. While this revenue base remains limited, it supports the commercial launch of the platform.
Clinical Milestones for ARC-IM and ARC-BCI
The quarter was also marked by the first recruitment and successful implant in the global pivotal Empower BP study, conducted at Craig Hospital in Denver. This study aims to assess the safety and efficacy of the implantable ARC-IM system in managing blood pressure instability in individuals with spinal cord injuries. It is set to involve around 20 centers for neurorehabilitation and neurosurgery in the US, Canada, France, Germany, Spain, and the UK. To date, 12 US sites have been activated and are recruiting participants.
