Pharming: Chief Executive Officer Fabrice Chouraqui Steps Down with Immediate Effect
The Dutch biotechnology company has entrusted leadership to two incumbent executives while awaiting the appointment of a permanent successor. The departure takes effect immediately.
A Departure Decided by Mutual Agreement with the Board
Pharming (Euronext Amsterdam: PHARM / Nasdaq: PHAR) announced on September 29, 2026 that the board of directors and Fabrice Chouraqui have agreed by mutual consent that he is stepping down from his position as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and executive director, with immediate effect.
According to the press release, following discussions on the execution of the group's strategic priorities for its next phase, the board of directors and Fabrice Chouraqui concluded that their views on how to advance the company's strategy were not sufficiently aligned. The parties therefore agreed on a transition at the helm of the company.
Leverne Marsh and Kenneth Lynard Appointed as Interim Co-Chief Executive Officers
To ensure continuity of leadership, the board of directors has appointed Leverne Marsh, Chief Commercial Officer, and Kenneth Lynard, Chief Financial Officer, as interim co-chief executive officers, with immediate effect.
Leverne Marsh will oversee patient-centered operations, while Kenneth Lynard will lead global corporate functions. The board has also launched a formal search to designate a permanent successor. According to Richard Peters, board chairman, the immediate priority is to ensure continuity within management while maintaining the execution of Pharming's strategy.
