Philips has introduced the eV14-2v transvaginal transducer, presented as an extension of its ultrasound portfolio in obstetrics and gynecology. The device holds CE marking and FDA 510(k) clearance from the United States.

The group indicates that the transducer is based on PureWave crystal technology and reports, compared to the 3D9-3v probe, a 41.7% increase in penetration, a 10% increase in 2D resolution, a 15.8% improvement in field of view, and a 22% lighter design.
The probe can be used with Philips Collaboration Live, a function enabling real-time remote consultation during examinations. Alongside the eV14-2v, Philips plans to present at the 2026 ISUOG congress several ultrasound systems, including the recently launched Alturion, the EPIQ Elite, Lumify and Flash.
