Renault Group Surpasses One Million Electric Vehicles Produced in France Since 2010
Renault Group has announced surpassing the milestone of one million electric vehicles designed and produced in France since 2010, including 600,000 units from ElectriCity, its northern electric hub. This milestone underscores the scale of the group's electric transformation within its French ecosystem and its commitment to massive investment in local sites.
One Million Electric Vehicles Manufactured in 16 Years
Since 2010, Renault Group has produced over one million electric vehicles on French soil, 600,000 of which were produced at ElectriCity, a dedicated electric vehicle platform located in the north of the country.
This production is supported by a network of body assembly plants spread across Douai, Maubeuge, Dieppe, Batilly, and Sandouville, complemented by the mechanical sites of Cléon, Ruitz, and Le Mans, as well as the Refactory in Flins, which focuses on the circular economy.
The acceleration of electric vehicle production in France reflects the group's commitment to widespread electric transition, with all its French sites involved in this shift.
A Structural Ecosystem and Investment
Renault Group employs nearly 39,000 people in France and generates about 35,000 indirect jobs within its supplier chain, demonstrating the group's impact on French territories.
To realize this strategy, the group has invested 13 billion euros since 2021 in the transformation of its sites and its positioning on future value chains. This strategy of strong industrial anchorage in France is part of a long-term vision, which sees the country as a key element of its future development.
