Renault stock among the strongest declines in the CAC 40 ahead of its Q3
The diamond-branded manufacturer is losing ground mid-session, in a CAC 40 that is also declining. The stock remains below all of its moving averages, just days away from its next financial appointment.
The stock remains below its three moving averages, from the 20-day MA to the 200-day MA
The Renault stock is down 1.69% to €26.22 in session, while the CAC 40 is falling 0.82%. The stock is below its 20-day MA (€26.44, a gap of 0.83%), its 50-day MA (€27.61, a gap of 5.03%) and its 200-day MA (€28.74, 8.77%). It had already tested the 20-day MA the previous day, and this average was not reclaimed. The one-year decline reaches 25.68%, compared to 0.53% over three months, indicating pressure that is older than the quarterly period.
The RSI at 44 remains neutral and the support level at €25.09 is approximately 4.3% below the price. In terms of valuation, the consensus of surveyed analysts places the P/E ratio at approximately 4.0 times current fiscal year earnings. Declared net short positions total 8.65% of capital, distributed among seven funds, down 0.62 points over 30 days. This elevated level signals a bearish bet that is still present, but the one-month decline indicates that selling pressure is not intensifying.
