Rexel stock slides 9% over one month and falls back to its support level
The electrical equipment distributor retreats significantly in mid-session trading, in a declining Paris market. The stock falls below all its medium-term benchmarks, following a month marked by financial operations.
A steeper decline than the index, at the contact of support
Rexel loses 2.33% to €32.65, while the SBF 120 declines 1.3% and the CAC 40 falls 1.33%. The stock ranks among the index's sharpest declines and retreats 9% over one month. It is trading 0.3% away from its support level at €32.64, a level the stock had not reached recently. The price is nearly 9% below the 50-day moving average, and the 200-day moving average stands at €36.08, or 9.5% above the current price.
The stock already fell 2% on Thursday, after losing its €33.33 support level. The MACD remains negative, accompanying this downward trend of several weeks. Today's session reflects a market penalized by tension over French government debt, with a 10-year OAT at 4.79% at the latest reading, according to the Banque de France.
