Riber: Revenue Up 19% in H1, but Order Book Stagnates

On July 22, 2026, Riber reported a 19% increase in first-half revenue to EUR 12.8 million, driven by strong dynamics in services and accessories. However, this growth contrasts with a stagnant order book at EUR 26.8 million, hampered by the French authorities' refusal of more than EUR 8 million in export licenses to Asia. This divergence reveals the relative fragility of commercial visibility despite resilient current activity.

Riber: Revenue Up 19% in H1, but Order Book Stagnates

Services Up 71%, but Increased Dependence on Established Clients

Semi-annual sales amounted to EUR 12.8 million, up 19% from the first half of 2025 (EUR 10.7 million). This growth comes almost exclusively from services and accessories, which jumped 71% to EUR 5.1 million from EUR 3.0 million a year earlier. System sales remained nearly stable at EUR 7.7 million, corresponding to the delivery of three machines, identical to the previous period. This composition reveals an increasing dependency of revenues on already established clients. The services segment benefits from strong demand for spare parts for recently delivered production equipment, as well as upgrade orders from long-standing clients in North America. Meanwhile, the commercial geography is being redrawn: Asia falls to 48% of revenue (from 70% in the first half of 2025), while other regions, notably Australia, are gaining weight (24% from 2%).

The total order book reaches EUR 26.8 million, slightly down 3% from June 2025 (EUR 27.7 million). The systems segment erodes further, falling 27% to EUR 16.5 million, while the services and accessories segment soars 98% to EUR 10.3 million. The company explains the drivers behind this contrasting dynamic. The refusal of several export licenses by the French authorities blocked the registration of more than EUR 8 million in orders during the period. Beyond regulatory hurdles, Riber highlights the lengthening of investment cycles among some clients, whose high-volume projects remain conditioned on visibility from major cloud and AI industry players. The systems order book currently includes 4 machines (3 production and 1 ROSIE platform), not incorporating the order announced on July 9, 2026, for a system deliverable in 2027.

ROSIE Deployment to Open Prospects Beyond Export Constraints

Riber continues the deployment of its ROSIE (RIBER Oxide Silicon Epitaxy) platform, dedicated to the growth of functional oxides on 300 mm silicon wafers. A second unit was shipped in July to a major quantum computing player in the United States. The first material samples (BTO/STO) from a partnership with the Novo Nordisk Foundation Quantum Computing Programme will be available in the fourth quarter of 2026 to support client evaluation phases. The company is also preparing the next step with the development of a dual-chamber ROSIE cluster production machine by the end of 2026, aimed at enhancing the platform's attractiveness and maturity. Annie Geoffroy, CEO, states that 'the structural trends supporting our markets remain particularly favorable,' noting that the fundamentals of the addressed sectors continue to be supported by accelerated investments in artificial intelligence, data centers, and quantum technologies. However, she acknowledges that 'the tightening of export licensing procedures to Asia could weigh on the realization of certain commercial opportunities.'
