Riyadh Air has confirmed the addition of six Airbus A350-1000s to its fleet, bringing its firm commitment for this model from 25 to 31 aircraft. This adjustment is part of the 50-aircraft framework agreement signed in 2025. The airline will be the first in Saudi Arabia to operate this long-haul aircraft and plans to serve over 100 international destinations by 2030, supporting the Kingdom's Vision 2030 objectives.

The Airbus A350-1000 meets the Saudi airline's needs in terms of capacity and energy efficiency. This aircraft has a range of 9,700 nautical miles (18,000 kilometers) without refueling and uses the latest generation Rolls-Royce engines. Compared to earlier competing aircraft, it reduces fuel consumption, operating costs, and carbon dioxide emissions by 25%. Its 'Airspace' cabin design offers a modernized passenger experience.
The A350 Among the Greatest Commercial Successes
As of the end of June 2026, the A350 family had accumulated 1,595 firm orders from 68 global customers, positioning this aircraft among the greatest commercial successes in the long-haul aircraft segment. This commercial momentum reinforces airline confidence in this type of aircraft for intercontinental connections.
