Roth 2: Half-year revenue up 5.2%, driven by industrial sector
Roth 2 published on October 14, 2026 a revenue of €2,811k for the first half of its 2026/27 fiscal year (April to September 2026), compared to €2,671k a year earlier. The increase is supported by two of its three business lines, while the third, Steel Fonds Bombés, declined by 5.1%. The company highlights its storage solutions, particularly in hydrogen. In percentage terms, however, the sharpest growth comes from historical industrial activities (+12.2%). Commercially, the group reports highly advanced negotiations in hydrogen, which should according to them lead to significant orders in the short term.
Three business lines, two growing and one declining
Over the half-year, total revenue reached €2.8m, up 5.2% year-on-year. These figures are unaudited. Historical industrial activities constitute the largest segment of the half-year. They reached €1,098k, compared to €979k a year earlier, a rise of 12.2%. The gas storage solutions segment, which includes hydrogen, grew 8.2%, to €869k from €803k. Conversely, the Steel Fonds Bombés activity stood at €844k, compared to €889k in the first half of the previous fiscal year, down 5.1%. Its decline limits overall growth, without offsetting it: the gains from the two other segments more than compensate for this decline.
A turnkey offering in high-pressure storage
The company, listed on Euronext Access+ (code MLROT), presents this publication as confirmation of the growth trajectory from the previous fiscal year. It attributes the progress notably to the very high-pressure storage solutions segment, which it considers promising significant development in the coming years, particularly in hydrogen. To differentiate itself from container manufacturers alone, Roth 2 offers a turnkey solution that combines racks, cylinders and maintenance. During the half-year, the company indicates it intensified its commercial actions across all its markets. It prioritized so-called "smart storage" solutions, which are based on seamless steel tanks and cylinders under very high pressure. According to the company, Roth 2 is the only French company producing tanks capable of withstanding 1,000 bar of pressure. Its plant in Mions, in the Lyon metropolitan area, produces 20,000 steel tanks per year and employs 50 people.
Orders expected in hydrogen by end of year
For the remainder of the fiscal year, which opened on April 1, 2026, management relies on a substantial pipeline of new business. According to the company, this pipeline should lead, by year-end, to the signing of significant orders, particularly in hydrogen. At this stage, these are negotiations described as highly advanced: no orders are announced as signed. Quentin Marsac, Chief Executive Officer, stated that the new fiscal year "is off to a promising start". He added that the diversification strategy toward gas storage solutions "is beginning to bear fruit". The next financial communications milestone is set for December 16, 2026, with the publication of 2026/27 half-year results. Until then, the fact established by this publication is a half-year revenue of €2,811k, up 5.2%, driven by industry (+12.2%) and gas storage (+8.2%).
