Rubis share declines nearly 2% and falls back below its 20-day moving average
The African and Caribbean energy distributor is losing ground this Thursday in a Paris market under pressure as tension over French debt reaches unprecedented levels in over a decade. The stock's decline comes after several weeks of volatility around the 36.20 € resistance level, without managing to establish itself there durably.
A decline of 1.93% that brings the share back below its MA20 in a sluggish CAC 40
Rubis is down 1.93% to 34.54 € in trading, falling back below its 20-day moving average (35.02 €), while the CAC 40 retreats by 1.23% and the SBF 120 by 1.27%. The downward pressure on the Paris market is partly explained by rising French sovereign rates: the 10-year OAT yield is approaching 4.75% (Banque de France benchmark as of September 30, 2026), its highest level since July 2008 but remaining below the 4.86% peak observed in 2008, with the spread against the German Bund widening to 1.17 points. The share, however, remains above its MA50 (34.11 €) and MA200 (34.01 €), two moving averages that form a coherent floor around 34 €.
The RSI at 55 reflects a neutral configuration, without oversold signals despite the session's decline. The 33.26 € support level remains far from the current price, leaving room before any significant deterioration of the technical structure.

To contextualize the share in its fundamental context, let us recall that first-half 2026 results, published on September 8, 2026, showed a progression in key financial aggregates and led the group to raise its EBITDA guidance for the full year. At the time of this publication, management signaled that sustained high oil prices could weigh on demand in the second half. This risk remains relevant: Brent is trading at 100.15 $/barrel this Thursday, up 2.16% in intraday trading, a level that can affect demand in the African and Caribbean markets where the group operates.
On the positive outlook mentioned when the half-year results were published, the development of solar activities through Photosol and growth in bitumen volumes in Europe and Africa were presented as growth drivers for the second half. The analyst consensus had welcomed the guidance raise in mid-September, with several price targets revised upward. The 36.20 € resistance remains the next technical zone of interest above the current price.
