Saint-Gobain stock declines 11% over three months, falling short of Deutsche Bank's target
The construction materials manufacturer remains at the lower end of the CAC 40 while the index advances midway through the session. A brokerage house lowered its price target yesterday, and the stock continues a prolonged decline against its moving averages. A results publication date is already scheduled.
The stock falls back below its three moving averages, 1.3% below the MA20
The stock declines 1.28% to €66.28, while the CAC 40 gains 0.49% during the session. This decline makes it one of the strongest performers on the downside of the index, ahead only of Carrefour and Michelin. The price is below the MA20 (€67.15, a gap of 1.30%), but especially well below the MA50 at €72.91 and the MA200 at €77.28, the latter being 14.23% above the current price.
The 1.47% rebound over the week was therefore insufficient to erase the 4.11% decline over one month, itself part of an 11.15% decline over three months. Support at €64.76 is approximately 2.3% below the current price, while resistance at €71.50 remains more than 7% above.
Deutsche Bank lowers its price target from €82 to €80 and maintains its hold rating
Yesterday, Deutsche Bank revised its price target downward from €82 to €80, while maintaining its hold rating. The new target implies approximately 20% upside potential relative to the current price, but the broker's stance remains neutral. On the fundamental side, the group announced on October 15 the acquisition of American D.S.
Brown, a specialist in bridge and airport equipment, an operation subject to approval from U.S. competition authorities. It also completed on October 2 the acquisition of Canadian company Xypex. Next results are expected on October 27 with revenue figures for the first nine months of 2026.
