The U.S. regulator approved the subcutaneous formulation of the cancer drug, administered via a portable injector, for multiple myeloma, marking a first for such automated devices in oncology.
This decision broadens the commercial positioning of a product already authorized in Japan in June in its subcutaneous version, where the phase 3 IRAKLIA study established non-inferiority compared to the traditional method. The laboratory has been making regulatory advances for a month, with European approval for Cenrifki in progressive multiple sclerosis and the approval of Wayrilz in Japan.
