Sanofi stock leads the CAC 40, sole gainer in a declining market
The pharmaceutical laboratory stands out clearly from a declining Paris market. The stock recovers after a difficult quarter, while remaining far from its levels a year ago.
A 2% gain that contrasts with a falling CAC 40
Sanofi gains 1.97% to €72.41 during the session, making it the strongest performer in the index, while the CAC 40 falls 0.65% and the SBF 120 declines 0.68%. The stock rebounds above its 20-day moving average (€71.76, a 0.91% gap), but remains below its 50-day moving average (€74.39) and below its 200-day moving average (€76.94), or 5.89% below the latter. The rebound comes after a decline of 6.37% over three months and 16.22% over one year, a retreat that had brought the stock to its lowest level since early October 2018.
The RSI at 42.72 remains neutral. The support level at €69.99 and the resistance level at €75.43 define the range within which the stock is trading.
