Schneider Electric's Stock Rebounds by 2% Aiming for €300
The electrical equipment specialist is on the rise in early afternoon trading, within a favorably oriented CAC 40. The stock is regaining momentum after several sessions of consolidation, as the Paris market stabilizes despite ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
A Rebound that Positions the Stock Among the Top Gainers of the CAC 40
Schneider Electric's stock has gained 2.03% reaching €269.15, up from a previous close of €263.80. It ranks among the top gainers in the CAC 40, which itself has risen by 0.38% to 8,283.90 points. This rebound comes after a session marked by a 2.5% decline, described in the previous consolidation session. Over the week, the performance remains negative at -2.71%, while the stock shows a +20.13% gain over the year. The VIX has rebounded to 16.86 (+4.53%), indicating that U.S. volatility remains sensitive to the Fed's minutes published yesterday, which confirmed a divided committee but still focused on inflation. According to analyst opinions, CIC Market Solutions reaffirmed on July 8 its buy rating with a target price maintained at €300, representing an upside potential of nearly 11.5% from the current price. Analysts' stance remains generally positive on the stock, despite the correction observed since the record high of €291 in mid-June.
Stock Remains Below Short-Term Moving Averages Despite Today's Rebound
Despite today's gain, the technical setup remains fragile. The price at €269.15 is still below the MM20 at €277.77 (a gap of -3.10%) and the MM50 at €273.24 (a gap of -1.50%), indicating that the rebound needs to be confirmed to erase the short-term deterioration. However, the MM200 at €252.23 remains well below the price (a gap of +6.71%), proving that the underlying bullish trend is not compromised. The RSI at 41 indicates a neutral phase, neither overbought nor oversold, allowing movement in either direction. The support at €257.70 remains the low reference to watch, with resistance identified at €292.75, close to the June record. On the corporate front, the group completed its €1.5 billion bond issue on June 29, aimed at anticipating its repayment deadlines. The operation is part of the forward-looking balance sheet management, a few days after the announcement of the acquisition of Cognite Holding for $3.1 billion, intended to strengthen AVEVA in industrial AI. The next key event to follow is the publication of the semi-annual results, traditionally expected at the end of July.
