SES Shares Drop Nearly 4% and Dip Below 20-Day Moving Average
The Luxembourg satellite operator continues its correction at close, after a euphoric spring that propelled it to a multi-year peak. The decline intensifies in a slightly downward-oriented Parisian market, weakening an initial short-term technical benchmark.
A Drop of Nearly 4% Erases Part of the Recent Rally
SES shares fell by 3.79% to €8.24 at close, down from €8.565 the previous day. The stock marks one of the sharpest declines in the SBF 120, as the broader index dropped 0.32%. The session extends the correction movement that began earlier in the week, noticeable since June 2. Over the week, the decline reaches 16.64%. However, the monthly performance remains positive at 11.73%, and the three-month gain is 31.84%, illustrating the magnitude of the rally since spring.

Today's drop brings the price below the 20-day moving average, which stands at €8.49, with a gap of 2.94%. This is the first short-term technical benchmark to give way since the surge in May. The RSI at 55 remains neutral, indicating that the downward movement has not yet shifted into an oversold configuration. The longer moving averages maintain a comfortable distance from the current price: the 50-day MA (€7.35) and the 200-day MA (€6.40) remain well below the stock, reflecting the strength of the underlying trend. The support level identified at €6.66 in the data remains distant. Over one year, the stock still shows a gain of nearly 61%.
