STMicroelectronics share breaks through its 41.41 € support level, at the bottom of the CAC 40
The semiconductor manufacturer remains close to equilibrium during the session, but the breach of a technical threshold, the second notable move of the week, draws attention. It occurs in a sector still under pressure, while the Paris index advances.
Support broken and moving averages above the price after a week of decline
During the session, the STMicroelectronics share broke through its 41.41 € support level and is trading at 41.38 €, virtually stable on the day (-0.07%). The price is below the 200-day MA at 42.85 € (gap of -3.43%), a threshold it has just lost. This pullback extends the 6.5% drop recorded on Thursday, as European semiconductor stocks underwent a global technology correction. The share occupies the bottom of the index ranking, at 31st place out of 40, while the CAC 40 gains 0.4%. Over three months, the loss stands at 29.72%, while the annual gain remains 67.36%.

In Europe, ASML advances 1.2% and ASM International weakens 0.18%. The Supervisory Board requested the reappointment of the chief executive, with a shareholder vote scheduled for 2027.
