Theraclion Appoints Vincent Gardès as Chairman of its Board of Directors
On July 8, 2026, Theraclion appointed Vincent Gardès as the chairman of its board of directors, replacing Claude Lenoir who has been the interim chairman since June. Gardès, an expert in the medical device sector, brings 30 years of experience in the international development of MedTech companies.
A MedTech Executive Takes the Helm
Vincent Gardès, who has been a board member of Theraclion since the general assembly on June 18, 2026, succeeds Claude Lenoir as chairman of the board. His appointment is effective immediately. He takes over at a pivotal time for Theraclion: the company has recently received MDR certification for its Sonovein platform, which has been deployed at about a dozen centers worldwide with more than 4,000 procedures performed to date. Claude Lenoir remains a board member.
Thirty Years of MedTech Expertise
Vincent Gardès has 30 years of experience in creating value in innovative medical devices. He led Vexim until its acquisition by the American group Stryker, then structured the commercial development of Germitec in Europe and the United States. He is currently steering Amber Implants through its commercialization phase. Martin Deterre, CEO of Theraclion, has praised the collaboration as 'remarkably smooth' and shares a strategic vision with the new chairman.
MDR Certification and Commercial Advances
The appointment comes as Theraclion achieves several operational milestones: MDR certification in Europe, the first clinical application in China, submission of the Sonovein dossier to the FDA, assignment of a Category III CPT code in the United States, and a recent successful capital increase.
