Ubisoft Launches Gray Phantom Season for Rainbow Six Mobile Featuring Operator Finka
Ubisoft releases details on Tuesday about the new season of Rainbow Six Mobile, including a new operator and several limited-time game modes.
Content of the Gray Phantom Season
The Gray Phantom season of Rainbow Six Mobile has been launched, introducing a new operator named Finka, a character previously playable in other games of the Rainbow Six franchise. This operator has an ability called Adrenal Surge, which can increase allies' health points, stabilize aiming, and revive teammates from critical states. Several limited-time game modes are included in this season: a 3v3 Finka Showcase mode allowing players to test the operator for free during the first week, a classic 3v3 Bomb mode in the second week, and a Veil Protocol mode in a cooperative setting against computer-controlled opponents during weeks 3 to 5. The Veil Protocol mode takes place on a contaminated Oregon map and features infection mechanics and unlimited respawns.
Ranking Updates and Thematic Events
Adjustments to the matchmaking system of the ranked mode are introduced this season to balance competition levels among players. The House map is also added to the ranked mode rotation. Three limited-time events are launched concurrently: Dragon Boat Festival in week 2, Mining Madness in week 4, and Chorus of Fireworks in week 5. A new Battle Pass accompanies the season, offering cosmetic rewards and a permanent, free unlock of Finka for players. The Battle Pass is now also sold through the Ubisoft online store in addition to the mobile app.
