Ubisoft to Re-release Assassin's Creed Black Flag as Resynced Version on July 9, 2026
On July 9, 2026, Ubisoft will launch Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced, a remake of the iconic game, available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and streaming devices.
A Complete Overhaul with Enhanced Graphics and Content
Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is a total overhaul of the original, rebuilt from the ground up. The game features a major graphical upgrade with global ray-tracing, micropolygon technology, and high-fidelity water simulations to recreate the Caribbean islands experience. The narrative content is enriched with new missions, scenes recorded with Matt Ryan (the original actor of Edward Kenway), recruitable officer quests, and a final chapter titled 'A World Without Gold' focusing on Blackbeard. Ten new sailor songs are added to the original soundtrack, including a 'Resynced' version of 'Leave Her Johnny' by Woodkid.
Multi-platform Availability and Priced Editions
The title is available on PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S, PC (via Ubisoft Store, Epic Games, and Steam), as well as on Steam Deck, GeForce Now, and Blacknut. Two editions are marketed: the standard edition at €59.99 (digital and physical format) and the Deluxe edition at €69.99 (digital only), including a Master Assassin pack and a naval pack with costumes, sails, and accessories for the Jackdaw.
Gameplay Enhancements and Technical Optimizations
The game features a redesigned combat system focused on parrying and responsiveness, an enhanced stealth mode with advanced observation and dynamic lighting, and improved navigation through manual jumps and ejects. On PlayStation 5 and Pro, three graphic modes offer a choice between performance at 60 fps, fidelity at 30 fps, and a balanced mode at 40 fps for 120 Hz screens, all supporting global ray-tracing. On PC, the scalable engine supports frame generation and software ray-tracing for configurations without hardware ray-tracing support. The Steam Deck version is certified from launch.
