Ubisoft Unveils Rayman Legends Retold, a 3D Remake with a Sixth World and an Original Soundtrack
Ubisoft announced on Tuesday the launch of Rayman Legends Retold, a reinterpretation of the platform classic, scheduled for release on October 1st on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC. The title rejuvenates the limbless hero's universe by introducing new narrative and gameplay elements.
An Enriched Remake, with a New Story and Expanded Universe
Rayman Legends Retold, developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and Ubisoft Milan, presents itself as a reinterpretation of the classic game aimed at a new generation of players. The title retains the fundamentals of the series while expanding the mythology of the character and his universe. A new story sees Rayman, Globox, Barbara, Grand Minimus, and Murphy embarking on a quest to restore peace across the Glade of Dreams against a mysterious antagonist.
The world has been reimagined with 3D graphics, fully voiced cinematics, and new character interactions. The game includes a brand-new sixth world, four original musical stages, dragon races, and an enhanced version of the Kung Foot mode with customization options.
Multi-Platform Release and Bonus Content
Rayman Legends Retold will be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, GeForce Now, Blacknut, and PC (Ubisoft Store, Steam, Epic Games Store) on October 1st. Three editions are offered: the Standard Edition includes the base game and Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition (4K, 60 FPS with modern enhancements); the Deluxe Edition adds a retro pack with four costumes and an art gallery; the Launch Edition (physical format) provides a printed map of the Glade of Dreams and three lithographs. Pre-orderers receive a Hoodlum Havoc pack containing two costumes inspired by Rayman 3.
The soundtrack is composed by Christophe Héral and Grant Kirkhope, renowned composers in the industry.
