Unify Group to Acquire Spas Organisation to Strengthen Its Events Division
Unify Group has signed a memorandum of understanding to acquire Spas Organisation, the leading French organizer of trade shows dedicated to organic products, natural health, wellness, and lifestyle. The transaction, contingent upon the approval of Spas' debt restructuring, aims to consolidate Event Flow, the group's event division.
A Trade Show Organizer Generating 9 Million Euros in Revenue
Founded over twenty years ago, Spas Organisation brings together stakeholders from the organic, agriculture, natural health, wellness, and green growth sectors. The group organizes events that attract both professionals and the general public, including Marjolaine, Naturally, Vivre Autrement, Natexpo, medFEL, Les Thermalies, and the Zen & Bio network, present in several major French cities.
The company generates nearly 9 million euros in annual revenue. Its integration into Unify Group is expected to strengthen Event Flow, the group's event division, as part of the development strategy announced in June focusing on four complementary activities: Reworld Media for media, Ed'Learn for education, Event Flow for events, and Nyorda Group for technology and digital marketing.
Potential Synergies with Unify's Media Brands
The integration of Spas Organisation opens up development opportunities based on synergies with the media brands of Reworld Media, a subsidiary of Unify Group. The realms of health, wellness, beauty, nutrition, and lifestyle are represented by the group's flagship brands: Doctissimo, Top Santé, Aufeminin, Marmiton, Psychologies, Biba, Maison & Travaux, and Le Journal de Maison.
By combining the media power and audiences of these brands with the event expertise of Spas Organisation, Unify Group aims to enhance the visibility of the trade shows, enrich their editorial programming, and develop new formats of interaction between audiences, experts, and partner brands.
An Acquisition Conditional on Debt Restructuring
The completion of the transaction remains conditional on the approval of the restructuring agreement for Spas Organisation's bank debt. According to Gautier Normand, CEO of Unify Group, this acquisition is part of the group's development trajectory, based on the convergence of content, knowledge, technologies, and experiences.
