Valbiotis Completes Cardio-Liver Study and Prepares Fourth Product for 2026
The La Rochelle-based laboratory announced the completion of its Cardio-Liver clinical study, the final stage of the development program for the active substance Steadrive. This closure paves the way for the commercialization of a fourth product in the Valbiotis PRO range.
Cardio-Liver Concludes Steadrive Clinical Program
Valbiotis announced that the Cardio-Liver study, a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, was conducted with 71 volunteers presenting hepatic steatosis without significant associated fibrosis, as well as overweight or obesity. Participants were divided into two groups, supplemented for four months with Steadrive (4.28 g/day) or placebo. According to the company, the results confirm the effects of Steadrive on fat accumulation in the liver and on various associated metabolic parameters. The study, conducted in partnership with Laval University in Quebec under the direction of Professor André Marette, concludes the clinical development program for the active substance, with detailed results to be presented at an international scientific conference.
Multi-Channel Commercial Launch from September 23, 2026
Valbiotis PRO Liver, based on the patented Steadrive formula, will be commercialized from September 23, 2026 across all channels in France, in pharmacies and on the group's e-commerce site, in pill format. The launch relies on the multi-channel commercialization system of the range: promotion to pharmacists and partner groups, training of pharmacy staff, point-of-sale materials and targeted digital marketing campaigns. This product completes, in accordance with the announced schedule, a range of four solutions dedicated to cardiometabolic balance, following Valbiotis PRO Cholesterol (May 2024), Valbiotis PRO Metabolic Health (February 2025) and Valbiotis PRO Cardio-Circulation (June 2025). The entire range is based on 13 clinical studies, intellectual property covering more than 60 countries and 17 scientific publications in peer-reviewed international journals.
