Valeo selected by Nissan for the new generation of its ProPilot system
The Paris-based equipment supplier will provide Nissan with a complete hardware and software platform for the next generation of its assisted driving system. The agreement integrates Wayve's driving AI technology within an automotive quality system.
Valeo retained as top-tier equipment supplier
Valeo announced on October 1, 2026 that it had been selected by Nissan as a top-tier equipment supplier (System Tier-1) for the next generation of the automaker's ProPILOT program.
As part of this partnership, Valeo will provide a complete hardware and software platform, designed to integrate new generation driving capabilities based on artificial intelligence. This platform will integrate the "Wayve AI Driver" software as a driving intelligence component within an automotive quality system.
The technical scope of Valeo's contribution
Valeo will integrate its advanced sensors, its ADAS controller and the "Wayve AI Driver" software in a turnkey solution for future Nissan vehicles. The program builds on the group's expertise in ADAS, software, detection technologies and industrialization of complex automotive systems.
As a technology partner, Valeo will provide a complete hardware and software solution (full-stack) designed to deliver 360-degree perception and high-performance computing. Its contribution includes centralized intelligence via an ADAS domain controller, designed to process complex AI algorithms.
Valeo, Nissan and Wayve collaborate on industrialization
Valeo will collaborate with Nissan and Wayve to validate, integrate and industrialize the entire solution for the future generation of the ProPILOT system.
Marc Vrecko, General Manager of the Valeo Brain Division, stated: "It is an honor to have been selected by Nissan as a top-tier partner for the next generation of its ambitious ProPILOT program. This project demonstrates Valeo's ability to combine a comprehensive portfolio of sensors, powerful controllers and software expertise with cutting-edge AI."
