Viel & Cie: Revenue of €696 Million in H1, +6.5% Hampered by Currency Fluctuations
VIEL & Cie published on August 11, 2026 consolidated revenue of €696.0 million in the first half, up 6.5% at variable exchange rates.
The gap between the two growth measures is the main finding of the publication: the increase reaches 11.5% at constant exchange rates, which illustrates the extent of the currency effect on the group's international activities.
€696.0 Million in the Half-Year, a Five-Point Gap Between Variable and Constant Exchange Rates
VIEL & Cie's consolidated revenue from operating subsidiaries stood at €696.0 million in the first half of 2026, compared with €653.5 million for the same period in 2025, representing growth of 6.5% at variable exchange rates.
At constant exchange rates, it came to €728.8 million, up 11.5%. The group notes that currency movements have a significant impact at the beginning of the year on the conversion into euros of international activities.
Second Quarter at €331.2 Million, Hindered by a Base Effect
For the second quarter of 2026 alone, consolidated revenue reached €331.2 million, compared with €323.2 million a year earlier, up 2.5% at variable exchange rates and 4.4% at constant exchange rates.
The group explains that this quarter is penalized by an unfavorable base effect linked to strong activity in April 2025, in the context of changes in American tariff regulations. Q2 is growing more slowly than the overall half-year (+4.4% versus +11.5% at constant exchange rates), with the first quarter accounting for the bulk of the period's growth.
Unchanged Financial Structure and Three Business Segments
VIEL & Cie notes that the group's financial position has not undergone any significant change since the publication of its 2025 annual financial report.
The group encompasses three business segments in the financial services sector: Compagnie Financière Tradition, active in professional intermediation, present in more than 30 countries and employing close to 2,600 employees, Bourse Direct, positioned in online stock trading in France, and a 40% stake accounted for using the equity method in SwissLife Banque Privée, active in private asset management in France.
