Winamp Group Expands Bridger to Italy, Portugal, Slovenia, and India
On July 7, Winamp Group announced the expansion of the international network of its copyright management platform, Bridger, which has secured new partnerships in Italy, Portugal, Slovenia, and India. Concurrently, the group has started to collect the first revenues from agreements signed in recent months.
Bridger Expands Rights Collection Capabilities in Europe and Asia
Winamp Group announces four new copyright agreements with management companies SIAE (Italy), SPA (Portugal), SAZAS (Slovenia), and IPRS (The Indian Performing Right Society Limited). These partnerships enhance Bridger's international coverage beyond digital mechanical rights to additional categories including performance rights, offline mechanical rights, and historical music funds. These additional rights cover musical uses outside of streaming platforms: broadcasting, commercial establishments, live events, and physical media. For India, the agreement with IPRS activates simultaneous collection of both mechanical and performance rights, online and offline.
Initial Revenues Validate Expansion Strategy
Winamp Group confirms that the initial revenues generated by the agreements signed in previous months are beginning to be collected. The group views these achievements as a validation of its strategy for progressively expanding collectable rights and as evidence of its ability to quickly convert these new partnerships into new revenue sources for creators. Alexandre Saboundjian, CEO of Winamp and Bridger, emphasizes that 'these initial results reinforce our ambition to make Bridger one of the most comprehensive copyright management platforms in the industry.'
Further Agreements in Finalization Stages
Winamp Group indicates that additional agreements are currently in the finalization stages as Bridger continues to expand its international rights coverage. The group plans to publish its first-half 2026 revenues on July 31.
