Fountaine Pajot Unveils €25 Million Investment Plan for Its 50th Anniversary
Naval constructor Fountaine Pajot has outlined its strategic priorities for the fiscal year 2025/26, coinciding with the group's fiftieth anniversary. The company plans to invest €25 million in renewing its product lines and adapting its industrial tools, according to the press release.
New Model Launches and Market Segmentation
Over two fiscal years, the group will launch seven new boat models, namely FP41, FP44, FP48, FP55, FP70S, D44, and D48, as indicated in the press release. By the end of fiscal year 2025/26, nearly 70% of the group’s models will have been renewed. Fountaine Pajot's catamaran offering is now structured into two distinct segments, with a core range up to 55 feet and a high-end segment starting from 60 feet. The group also plans to launch a 110-foot model within two years, as well as a new Dufour 54 to complete its monohull range. All these new models will incorporate the Smart Electric program, focused on decarbonization and electrification of cruising sailboats.
Investment Plan for Development and Industrial Adaptation
Fountaine Pajot plans an investment of €25 million for the fiscal year 2025/26, focusing on the development of product lines and the adaptation of industrial tools, as stated in the press release. These investments include the development and industrialization of the new generation of boats, as well as the continuation of work at the Périgny factory. The site will host a mixed industrial line capable of producing the D54 from Dufour and the FP55 from Fountaine Pajot. The group also mentions the development of its Nautical Talents Institute, an internal school dedicated to skill development and the qualification of new talents. These measures aim to ensure the industrial flexibility of the group and to preserve its operational agility.
A Transition Year in a Market with Limited Visibility
The fiscal year 2025/26 represents a transition year in a market offering limited visibility, according to the group. Nicolas Gardies, CEO of Fountaine Pajot, indicates that the group has chosen to anticipate the cycle despite the slowdown in activity, preserving its profitability and maintaining a strong financial structure. For the fiscal year 2024/25, ending on August 31, 2025, Fountaine Pajot Group recorded a revenue of €323.2 million. Founded in 1976, the group began mass production of catamarans in 1983 and has delivered over 4,000 catamarans worldwide.
