Novacyt: NIPT Market Award with St George's
Yourgene Health UK Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Novacyt, has won the tender from the South West London Procurement Partnership for the supply of non-invasive prenatal tests.
Successful Tender by Novacyt's Subsidiary
Yourgene Health UK Ltd, a subsidiary of Novacyt S.A., has won the competitive tender issued by St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (London) for the supply of NIPT using the IONA® Nx NIPT Workflow (CE-IVD). The contract has an initial duration of two years starting from December 2025, with an option for an additional two-year extension. This award represents a continuation of existing activities for the Company, which had signed its first contract with St George's on March 23, 2015.
Ongoing Collaboration and Implementation
Since 2015, St George's has been using the IONA® Nx test under the St George's Antenatal Fetal Evaluation (SAFE) brand, a collaboration between the Fetal Medicine Unit and the Genomics Service at St George. The SAFE test provides NIPTs to about one-third of the maternity services population of the NHS in England and is also offered privately at St George's Hospital. The IONA® Nx NIPT Workflow product is an in vitro diagnostic device for prenatal screening of Down (trisomy 21), Edwards (trisomy 18), and Patau (trisomy 13) syndromes, in line with the recommendations of the UK National Screening Committee and the requirements of NHS England.
